i passed my linear algebra course !!!

These days I am trying to wrap up my degree in the summer semester by clearing my backlogs. One of the most difficult courses I had experienced during my college life was Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. Long story short, I failed the course 3 times and passed on the 4th!

This semester I had totally given up on the idea that I can clear the course because the professor who was taking it keeps the paper on the difficult side. I had scored 2/10 in the first 2 quizzes and 7/30 in the midterm exam. My total was 11/50 and I was totally losing hope. But somehow I was able to pul 10/10 on my quiz 3 (yes, full marks!) and then I decided I had to pass this course anyhow.

I worked even harder and scored 14/40 in my finals and finally scored a total of 36/100! Yes I passed and I am still on the high of how I managed to pull this course, worked hard for 2 months straight, studied almost daily, and then was able to finish it off. The feeling was surprisingly one of the best I ever had, and I felt so much lighter mentally like a burden had been off after finally 4 years of my degree at the end.

Also what I learned in the last 2 months is that hard work is fun, there is no substitute for the same, and it keeps getting better and you start to enjoy the subject. These days I am watching Linear Algebra Lectures by Gilbert on MIT OCW. I can't believe myself that now I am watching maths lectures for my dopamine rush. What the hard work made me do is increase my love for Maths and Science in general again. I am an engineering student and engineering is tough but the whole experience has led me to realize the subjects are fun to study if you put enough hard work to understand what is going on and put effort into solving the problems and understanding the concept.

It has been a week and still I can't believe I passed my Linear Algebra course!! AAAAAAAA.

Thanks for reading.
